BlueScope Steel wins recognition for

Hangyang Heat Exchange Equipment Company’s building project

BlueScope Steel (Suzhou) was recently recognized for its role in the building development project for the Hangyang Heat Exchange Equipment Company, which won the 2008 Shanghai Steel Structure Jingang Award.

BlueScope Steel provided the steel plate for the building system, including roof plate, ZINCALUME^® steel, wall plate, and Clean COLORBOND XRW^® steel.  As well, the colour of AURORATM^® steel Peafowl Blue was selected for the colourful steel ribbon that wraps the building.

Bob Moore, BlueScope Steel’s President, China said: “This recognition is a high compliment of our steel products and solutions, and the efforts of the entire team. The Award was based on excellent product performance, service and a good reputation. We are extremely proud of our involvement in this great project.”

Work on the project began in November, 2006 with the initial design phase and was completed at the end of 2008.  BlueScope’s steel plate on-time delivery lasted more than two years, reflecting the collective effort of BlueScope Steel Suzhou.

“At the development stages, we meticulously designed the most economical and best performing steel solution for the customer,” Mr Moore explained. “To meet the Hangyang Group's color request, we provided colour matching services. This service is the fastest and easiest way to ensure the steel ribbon accurately matches the Hangyang Group’s corporate logo.
