Microban® is the recognised market leader in anti-bacterial technologies and has a strong brand position worldwide, The Microban® additive is an anti-bacterial protection technology, that can be durably incorporated into various manufactured products to inhibit the growth of bacteria that can cause odours, stains, food poisoning and allergies.

The Microban® additive does not wash off or wear off and lasts the life of the treated products. In the case of COLORBOND® Insulation Panel steel, the additive is in the topcoat. Provided the topcoat is intact, then the anti-bacterial protection is effective.
Microban® antibacterial protection is either approved by or in compliance with the regulations of the European Union Scientific Committee for Food, The Australian and New Zealand Food Authority, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, and the United States Food and Drug Administration.
