LYSAGHT^® Structural Decking is roll-formed from hot dipped, zinc-coated, high strength grade steel strips. It is the production of BlueScope Buildings that, after many years of intensive research, has resulted in the profiled steel sheet acting as a longitudinal reinforcement to the composite beams and slabs.

It is widely used for concrete slab construction and is suitable for concrete, masonry or steel frame building construction. All the load tables and data of LYSAGHT^® Structural Decking have been prepared using actual test data to ensure maximum performance and quality. We conducted LYSAGHT^® Structural Decking system tests in Chinese, North American and Australian testing centers. The tests that were conducted include:

• Fire rating test
• Slip Block Test
• Formwork Test
• Full scale slab Test
• Advanced composite floor system: Lysaght structural decking performs as positive reinforcement as well as permanent formwork thus, providing savings in concrete and reinforcing steel.
• Excellent fire rating performance: The Lysaght structural decking system has passed the fire rating test set out by the China Quality Supervision and Test Centre for fixed fire extinguishing systems and fire resisting building components. It has also passed the fire rating test without the need for fire treatments to be sprayed to the underside of the steel deck.
• Quick and simple installation: Coupled with nil or less propping compared to strippable formwork, Lysaght structural decking is quick and simple to install, providing a safe and neat platform for construction. This saving of considerable construction time also results in savings in overall construction costs.

Features of W-DEK^® are:

• The patent embossments that are rolled into the profile create a high bond between the concrete and the deck as well as with the smaller ribs and flutes. This further enhances our product's composite action and rigidity.
• LYSAGHT W-DEK^® 's design as composite slab provides a more cost effective solution It does this through saving in concrete and reinforced steel which also reduces the self weight of buildings.
• LYSAGHT W-DEK^® has passed the American UL fire rating certification and ICBO requirements. It has a fire rating performance of over 1.5 hours without sprayed fire treatments.
