It has been reported all the expo pavilions under currently construction.  One of the first pavilions to be constructed is the Australian building.  The pavilion is being sponsored by BlueScope Steel who is a founding Platinum Sponsor.

When looking at the progress of the Australian pavilion, the Lysaght Façade system, imported from Australia and formed from BlueScope Steel weathering steel (HW350), has already been installed. The artistic façade system corrodes with a rich red patina and yet the unique alloys in the steel prevent ongoing corrosion. In this way, the façade presents a raw, natural beauty akin to the red heart of Australia.

A full time Lysaght Façade Project Manager is based in Shanghai to supervise the installation. The architect is delighted with the look of the Lysaght Façade system as it has achieved the look intended in the design.  We are confident that, before May 2010, the pavilion will represent the unique glamour that is embodied in BlueScope steel products.
