The company was formerly known as John Lysaght and was first established in 1857. Today, BlueScope Lysaght has 150 years experience in developing, producing and marketing steel cladding systems. In China, BlueScope Lysaght operates manufacturing facilities in Shanghai (Kangqiao) and Guangzhou which were opened in 1995, and opened two additional state-of-the-art factories in Chengdu and Langfang in 2003. In 2004, BlueScope Lysaght set up Residential Solution manufacture site in Shanghai to better cater to the growing steel structure residential market. In 2006, BlueScope Lysaght opened an insolated panel business in Langfang.
BlueScope Lysaght delivers its customers inspired construction solutions and service through a nation-wide network of 32 sales and technical offices. In the past 14 years, LYSAGHT® roofing, walling, structural purlin and decking systems have been extensively used by nearly 2000 of construction projects throughout China. These include projects such as power stations, industrial buildings, airports, sports stadiums and other public buildings as well as commercial and residential buildings.
